Continuing on with my Sculpting attempts, here is my Retiarius (minus the net) Gladiator. He still needs some work but it’s coming along. I have just started to use the brown putty with the green putty, trying to experiment with the different types and what’s good for what. Comments welcomed.

Here is my finished”Jenny the Farmers Daughter” My fierce sweet down on the farm, girl next door Zombie hunter. The sculpting figure is from Bronze Age miniatures but I sculpted the clothing, boots, and hat. Watch out Zombies she gots that big ol Chainsaw from Paw’s barn and been a slashing up Zombies all over the town YIKESSSSS!!

My attempt at sculpting

Well it’s been a while since I posted here so here is what I have been working on this week. I just bought these great figures from Bronze age miniature and let me say they are great figures and much better in person than the photos would leave you to believe. I had picked up some Sci Fi figures, female barbarians and a bunch of the generic male and female figures to assist me in my sculpting. http://www.bronzeagemin.com/

One of my favorite movies (not the greatest, but I love it) is “The Blood of heroes” with Rutger Hauer. A Really cool Post Apocalyptic movie about a brutal future sport (without a name) with Players called Juggers. These Juggers arm themselves with Pole and chains and attempt to put a Dogs skull on a stick (see the movie)
Unfortunately I could not find figure to go with the movie so I decided to attempt and mind you I said attempt my hand at sculpting(way harder than I expected and way more fun than I expected too) I started with the basic generic nude male and female forms provided by Bronzeage miniatures. The group represents a Jugging team of five in their rag tag (the future in this movie does not look to promising) outfits made from various cast offs, rags, rubber and old tires. I did not find the green putty that hard to work with but I did have trouble getting that really nice smooth surface that the Pros get. I think they came out pretty good if I don’t say so myself let me know what you think.





The other figure (not from the movie) is my interpretation of Jenny the farmer daughter from the Zombie game “Last night on earth” again I used a nude female form from Bronzeage games and pushed around more green stuff. The Chain saw is from Mississinewa Miniatures. All in all I had a great deal of fun making these and will continued to try more sculpting

Finishing up my “Red Flag Express” supply column are the large supply truck load down with goodies and the Smaller Flatbed.

The flat bed originally started out with a big box on the back hiding a big anti air craft type gun which as you can see have been removed and will be used for another time. I loaded it up with some wood planks and posts as well as some nail kegs (repairing a trench or maybe a coffin or two for some hapless crusader)

The Larger truck is mostly as is. The pop up figures (that come with the toy) have been removed and green stuff blanket rolls were added to hide a few hinges. A few other parts were removed and covered over, again with green stuff. Both vehicles had dashboards added to add a bit of flavor and painted up in my Royalist colors (well Zombiesmiths Royalist colors).
These were a lot of fun to do and although they are out of production you can still find them on auction sites if you are so inclined

Both the Tank and the Tanker are from Disney’s, Atlantis the lost empire toys that I picked up on EBay.

The Tanker is mostly as is with the exception of the tarp on the back, which I made out of green stuff to cover a hinge on the back (the barrel originally opened up for a missile to be launch from inside) the roof for the cab was added from another truck and a piece of Plastic card was use for the windscreen to add some protection for the driver. The Quar driver was made with more green stuff over the body of the original driver and a spare Quar Head.

The Tank was made from another Disney toy along with lots of plastic card for widening the body, window slits, and hatches for the driver and gunner, rear hatch and the extra armor plating around the turret. The Turret itself was made from the inner plastic ring from some desk tape. The Cannon, flag holder and heavy shotgun mount (I’ll have to pick up another) were all made from bits of extra tubing with the turret hatch being made from my contact lens packaging.
The paint was straight forward using Reaper and Vallejo paints (browns, tans and Iraqi sand highlights) The Flag of the 1171st Lower Barrow Homeland Bound battalion is proudly displayed on one side of the turret and guideon of the 7th cavalry fly’s above.

A few vehicles to supply the Quars at the front. WIP

1st up is my supply truck loaded with all sorts of goodies. The model started out as an old toy but is easily rework into a nice little piece

Next are a water tractor and a flatbed truck ready to rush much needed supply’s forward. These are also toys from the same line al the vehicles have minor additions or changes made to them


And finally my explorers vehicle ready to take any explore over the rugged roads in search of adventure

New Quar Royalist

First of my Royalist Guard. Based(loosley)on the Kornilov White Russain regiment. the Yawdryl still needs afew touch ups. Very nice figures and fun to paint. If your not into Quar your missing out

KKBB Agents and Bad Guys

Frist a few WIP. My James Bond type is almost done but I am not sure about the jacket and tie, a Gamer figure that I picked up on ebay painted with my attempt at a Tie Dye tee shirt. I think it came out pretty good if i don't say so myself and last a Mawe from Hasslefree. A fun figure to do but harder than I thought it would be. Maybe this can be an evil experiment for my villians Mmmmwahahahaha.





A few more agents, American, Israeli and British but no background as of yet

On the Good guy’s side are Super Agents Napoleon and Illya. Partners who really will make the bad guys cry Uncle.

Next is Kar Park my Korean Henchman and all around bad guy watch out for his hat or you might lose your head.

Last but not least is Kensington Smythe my English lord with his new Golden gun. Smythe fancies himself a crack shot. Most people have been told that he lost his eye in a royal duel and has been sworn to secrecy but the truth is he shot himself while playing with one of his toys. The only other person who knew the truth was his Chauffer who mysteriously died in a car accident the following week. Smythe is also an agent for my still unnamed evil group.
