There be more Dragons

for some reason I have gotten on a dragon kick, maybe its due to the Dwarven forge kickstarter. Anyways here are a few more conversions that I have done 1st up is my Cave Dragon. He (or she) started out as a safari land toy dragon with 3 heads. once I removed the head and neck(such a dragon slayer)I reposition the neck that I wanted and added the head I wanted, I was going for a looking around for a thief look to him. I toned down the color with some inks and repainted the head and back crest and underside I am very happy with how he came out.

Next is the might Black Dragon. he started out as an Ice dragon with clear wings and blue purple and with coloring.  I began once again with lopping of the head and replacing it with one of the leftover heads from the Cave Dragon. I painted him with black all over then a dry brush of black gray and a blue highlights for the expose skin and chest armor. he comes with a detachable flame.

These Safari land toys are great and fairly inexpensive for the size of them and with a bit of work you can change them up as I did. At home now I have a Ice dragon and Hydra which have great paint jobs already so I wont be touching them and a green dragon and water dragon that are getting some touch ups http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/c472ab7c#/c472ab7c/124

There be Dragons

I amworking on a couple of Dragon the black one is for a student that works for me and is as nerdy as me

The Red Dragon will be going in my Dwarven forge dungeon I am getting form kickstarter(great deal) The Reds head was re sculpted a bit, with different eyes being added.  Both Dragons were made from Safaris Ltd Dragon that I picked up at AC Moores and Micheal (50% off) so they cost me about $7 buck apiece

Jack the Ripper/Pirate/Survivor

, another  great clixy type figure that was inexpensive and easy to paint.  The actual figure comes with a nice victim but she was dress very sexy(pin up type) and I wanted it to be more Victorian so I'll use her in something else

Finished another member of Sinbads crew a Reaper miniature that is in metal but is inclued in the bones line that was on Kickstarter

Another semi self portrait figures(though I just lost ten pounds) this was pretty close although The hair still needs to be a bit darker. It started out as a Rafm figure with a head swap/added back pack/gun and a reposition  are.  I am making a group of Zombie hunters/Post apocalyptic survivor group

Red Skull

Started to fool around with some of my Clix type figures. This is a simple head(or Skull) swap and repaint. For a quick swap I think he came out pretty good.

Samurai

I recently bought a bunch of Legend of the five ring figures from valiant miniatures, these are really outstanding sculpts and though Samurai figures can be hard to paint I found these rather enjoyable. right now I have just done some basic ground work  but will add something more as soon as I can figure out what will look good :)

Sinbad and crew

I have been watching a bunch of Sinbad movies and wanted to do the Captain and his men so here is the start of my Captian Sinbad and crew

Captain Sinbad a modified Reaper figure and Margiana from Iron wind metals(Cute couple)

The crew so far, is a combination of Iron wind metals,Rafm anda homemade generic Bronezage male and green stuff figure.(just can't figure out what to put in his hand)

So far they are coming out fairly good. I am trying to find a good figure to use as the Vizir from the Golden voyage movie and a few more crewmen after that maybe some monsters and evil Wizards

ULTIMATE BRICK ATTACK first up is my Ellie figure from the game "The last of us"  I used a generic Bronezage figure as the base with a head swap from a Reaper figure and then some green stuff for the rest.   I had finished painting her and gave her a coat of Dull coat and Arrrrrrgg the dreaded white specks. Just have to touch her up I guess not sure if I will be able to get rid of them.

 

This is my Kelly figure a Zombie survivor from the game "Survive the outbreak" I really liked the game, it only take a few minutes to play and it's free. I will get the whole cast made up at some point.

Last but not least is my dungeon explorer( self portrait, though I am much better looking).  I used a Reaper angry mob figure,changed the weapon,added the beard,wine sack,backpack,helmet,sword and re did the boots with green stuff.

I had invested in the Otherworld Miniatures - Dungeon Adventurers  on Indiegogo and wanted to make  a figure to join along
