Favnir Destroyer of Men (finished)

 According to legend:
Black dragons are vile, evil tempered, and obsessed with death. They live in fetid, swampy habitats. They find comfort in the sickening-sweet aroma of drowned, rotting carcasses. The black dragon's domain is the swamp and the jungle. They are abusive, quick to anger, and malevolent. Their hearts are as black as their slimy scales.
A black dragon can be identified by his grim, skeletal appearance. His eyes lie in deep sockets. His two great horns curve forward and down. The flesh of his face appears to have partially deteriorated, as if burnt by acid. Acidic slime drools from his menacing grin. He smells of rotting vegetation, foul water, and poisonous acid.

Living in sticky, wet habitats, black dragons dine mostly on fish, eels, and other water creatures. They will eat meat, but prefer to allow their victims float in ponds for days, or even weeks, before being eaten.
If you ever encounter a black dragon, be careful—he prefers surprise attacks instead of fair fighting. He is most active in the darkest hour of night, wherein the darkness he feels confident and powerful. He breathes a poisonous, sizzling acid.

 Favnir was not as legend would have you believe. He was a Young Dragon but powerful, who would surprise foes with a powerful flame from his fire lungs,  most were expecting acid, fire was uncommon in the Blacks.  He had lived in peace with the villagers for many years, they allowed him  some cattle and sheep, that they would leave in the far field.  He would swoop in take what he needed and would leave the village in peace.  Once he even drove off a group of raiders who had threaten the village to the joy of the men.
But now the villagers had learn Favnir was with  mate and was to be a father..."no no no three dragon s would not be tolerated"  the village elders said. So one dark night as Favnir was off Hunting the Villager came to the swamp and slaughtered the female and eggs as she slumbered.
Oh they were so proud... DRAGON SLAYERS are we!!! they boasted over some pints of ale.  Laughter filled the tavern, music was in the air but so too was the sound of beating wings.  The men had thought (not very wisely) the Favnir would be scared now that his brood was dead...Not so, would you be?
The enraged Dragon attack with a ferocity never seen before, killing all the murders and all things living in his path.  Clutching many body's in his talons and jaw he brought the corpses back to the swamp leaving them to ripen.  No more Cattle..no more sheep.  Favnir was now  Favnir the destroyer of Men.

Thought this was a perfect choice I also added Secret weapons liquid water to they base which worked really well and very easy to use(great products)

The Tatooine hop Bith style

Ok I was having an insparational moment

 had a bunch of extra Bith Starwars figures and was just going to do some repaints but this just happend (my love of dance and Starwars merged)

 I took 2 Biths Clix figures and removed the gun hands (saved to be used later) re sculpted (or attempted so)and  joined hands in dance, and added a plastic tiled floor on a base(loved the paint job on it , Photo really does not show it). The male was just painted straight forward but I added some breasts to the female with putty(with an attempt to have them swinging a bit...seemed to work) then added a bit of wire to the wrist and a barbed wire head piece to give her a more feminine quality (she is going all out to impress him) and  the Tatooine hop is born !!!

 An unfortunate fighter learned to late that taking a dragons treasure is not that easy.

 As goes the knight so too his mount was as unfortunate.

Some new dragons WIP

I want to do a 7 headed hydra from Jason and the Argonauts movie which is still a great movie, and that I have some Bronze age miniature Greeks that I want to paint up.  I started once again with Safaris toy dragons, this time a four headed Hydra(short 3 heads) so I bought 2 and cut off three heads adding  them on and re sculpting with putty.

I just started the paint job but I think I want to change the color of the chest armor(?)  

The forth head that I had left over I made a sand wyrm bursting from the ground

Post Apocalyptic survivor

Finished the paint job on my newest post apocalyptic survivor.  I really like this guy and the paint job came out Ok too

WIP for this week

This week I have been keeping up on some more Zombie hunters/post apocalyptic survivors and Dragons. here are some WIP
1st up Zombie Survivors; someone made a coment that my chainsaw survivor reminded them of the main characture from "Hitman" so I went with that and am making one.  I used two  different heroclix figures for these with arm changes using arms from wargames factory "the men" box set and an extra bald head from victoria miniatures for the Hitman.

Next up are some male and female Survivors. Of the female 1 is a Reaper figure with head swap, putty and some added packs the other 2 are clix figures with various parts added on

 the men are also various clix figure in stages of completion, again with putty and add on weapons and packs

 Another Dragon(this one my ode to Smaug) just the base color applied so far he is a pretty big dragon and I plan on basing him on a gold and treasure pile(have not yet figured out how to make that as of now any suggestion?)

Last is one of my favorite conversion for my post apocalyptic world the figure comes from Reaper miniatures and is of a fantasy towns folk farmer. I added as you can see, a Reaper rifle with hand(very handy set ha ha) some new boot,pack straps,and coolie type hat out of green stuff.  A back pack from Secreat weapons and a gas mask from Victoria miniatures. his other hand is still the hoe that was with the figure (a walking stick/makeshift weapon thought it was still cool enough not to remove it)

More PA/zombie hunters and a wizard

Now I don't think a chainsaw is the best Zombie weapon but It does look cool. My business man was a really simple head swap and repaint, the original had a strange mask and was spattered in blood. I tone him done a bit

My wizard started as a Star Wars figure of a Quarren assassin(I liked the robes). I added a new head and hands from another figure and made a staff from a paperclip and putty 

lastly I have some more Survivors(from whatever) All of them are heroclix type figures the 1st two I have added hands with pistols, back packs, goggles (on one of them) and made some straps for putty. a simple repaint and done.

my last survivor started as a scientist clixy and was a god awful one.  So another head swap and hands(see the wizard for those) An added back pack and putty made straps canteen,bag and scarf, a paper clip for a iron bar walking stick and a spare M16(?) from the new box of  male survivors from Wargames factory.  Another repaint and another cool PA survivor.
